ROCKLIVER 7G -ROCKFISH-

There are some fish that can only be caught with a fishing rod crafted with the utmost attention to detail…

There is a species that can only be caught with specialized rods that can conquer the highly competive areas and powerful current at the bottom – Leopard coral grouper. To catch it, the anglers needs to fish more than 30 meter water deep, and set a firm hook on the fish at the bottom during daytime. Rockliver 7G is built to handle such tough situations. We’ve optimized the trade off of lightness and strength to the utmost limit. Smooth feel in casting. Sensitivity that transmits more information through the rod. Improved hooking power and stronger backbone for tough fights. Experience true reliability—as a tool you can depend on.

Information

BLANK

■ TORAY T1100G / M40X carbon

Harnessing nano-level technology by Toray, we created a rod with superior strength and responsiveness. Employs a carbon fiber material that is utilized as construction parts in the aerospace industry – so called the 3rd generation carbon fiber.

■ R360 construction

The blank is built in a construction of carbon sheets laid in multi-directions. Meticulously tuned adjustments are made to the carbon array depending on each blank section, as a result, ensuring more strength that can withstand stress from all directions.

BENDING CURVE

■ RV7-782M: Although it’s the lightest of the three spinning models, its performance holds incredible potential. Its fundamental performance—effortlessly handling light rock fishing—is simply superb. Furthermore, by clearly detecting even the subtle bites characteristic of large fish, it ensures you never miss a “chance” that comes to anyone. Particularly noteworthy is its “short bite countermeasure,” which allows you to set the hook immediately upon feeling even the slightest, hesitant bite—ensuring a solid hookset before the fish can spit out the rig. For all spinning anglers, this is a rod we highly recommend trying out to expand your fishing possibilities.

■ RV7-932MH: The most standard model among the three spinning rod models. In addition to its 9.3-foot long length, it delivers the light casting feel unique to high-elasticity rods. Furthermore, the quick post-cast recovery—a common feature across the 7G series—makes everyday rockfish fishing even more comfortable. The tip, which is firm yet responsive, handles everything from retrieving jig heads up to 30g to Texas rigs ranging from 10g to 1oz. In particular, it will give anglers a competitive edge in today’s rockfish fishing, where casting heavy sinkers long distances and using techniques like dragging, shaking, and lift-and-fall are common. The section from the belly to the butt flexes smoothly to absorb the target fish’s sudden strikes and dashes. Its power, which holds firm when it counts, allows you to avoid critical situations during “standard” fishing.

■ RV7-962XXH: The toughest model among the three spinning rod series. This rod is designed to take on the largest specimens—so-called “ranker-sized” fish—among iconic groupers such as red grouper, big-spotted grouper, and pheasant grouper. With the introduction of this rod, anglers can now dominate any fishing ground—from rugged, steep, and fast-flowing rocky shores to shallow waters—by effectively utilizing rigs of various weights. Even when bottom fishing with heavyweight jig heads up to 50g, or 50g Texas or drop sinkers, it withstands water pressure and current without faltering, delivering full hooking power. In addition to its strength, the new materials used in the 7G series result in a lighter, more sensitive overall design, allowing you to focus on the sensations transmitted to your rig at a distance while tackling your target all day without fatigue.

■ RV7-B782MH: The lightest model in the bait series. This model truly shines in relatively close-range fishing scenarios, such as along breakwaters or inside fishing harbors. In addition to the ease of finding the bottom with bait tackle, the 7G’s ultra-high sensitivity is a major advantage, allowing you to clearly sense the shape and texture of submerged rocks and structure. It makes it easier to detect changes in the current, helping you capitalize on opportunities as they arise. While sharing the firmness common to all three bait models, its flexible tip allows it to handle fish that are hesitant to bite or deliver short bites.

■ RV7-B832H: The most standard model among the three Bait series rods. Development began with the goal of creating a rod that would surpass the “Rock Liver 5G 852H”—a model so highly regarded for its “divine balance” that it’s become legendary. We prioritized maneuverability and sensitivity, even at the cost of slightly sacrificing the 5G 852H’s much-praised ease of casting. By utilizing new materials and prioritizing maneuverability, we’ve achieved supreme balance. The more delicate and precise handling allows anglers to gauge bottom conditions and execute precise actions—including the exact lift height—at the critical moment. Furthermore, the lightweight, highly sensitive blank helps you make precise “line mending” adjustments by allowing you to sense the water pressure on the line underwater. By further evolving the performance essential for fishing in fast-flowing waters, this blank elevates the angler’s experience to a higher level. This is a rod that embodies Daiki Doi’s passion while remaining a fundamental choice. We highly recommend it for high-level fishing.

■ RV7-B882XH: The most powerful model among the three baitcasting rods. This rod is designed for conditions such as fast-moving currents, deep waters, rocky shores, strong winds, and heavy rigs—its primary battlegrounds—and performs as expected of a long-length baitcasting rod. Not only does it offer long-distance casting and mending capabilities that take full advantage of its length, but it also transfers every ounce of hooking power to the rig, allowing you to tackle the cunning “monster”-class targets lurking in every fishing spot. Especially when battling big fish in turbulent waters, it allows you to outmaneuver your opponent while reeling them in with sheer power—you’ll realize there are fish you simply couldn’t have landed without this rod.
