Carefully balanced through repeated testing to achieve the ideal length, diameter, and power. Titanium solid gives the angler sensitivity that you can feel at your hand physically and that you can visually verify through the subtle movements of the tip section. The sensitive tip may help tells you how close you are to squids by detecting the current change.

■ EZ7TE-56ML/Tis: This is an aggressive, short-length model. It reduces the number of repetitions required for the “lure,” “pause,” and “drop” sequence in tip-run fishing, and thanks to its maneuverable length, it excels at instantly casting the egi into fresh spots directly beneath the drifting boat. Additionally, the short length provides excellent control, allowing you to maneuver the egi exactly as you wish. We recommend it for quickly exploring areas early in the season or in relatively shallow waters.
■ EZ7TE-510ML/Tis: This mid-length model is designed for easy handling and stability when the lure is held still. It’s a model that’s sure to perform well right through the end of the season, regardless of the time of year or fishing area. It offers excellent sensitivity—both in hand feel and visual cues—allowing for a quick and responsive hookset. In situations where the boat isn’t drifting and the line isn’t angled, this flexible solid titanium tip provides even clearer feedback on bites.
BLANKS
■ TORAY T1100G / M40X carbon
Harnessing nano-level technology by Toray, we created a rod with superior strength and responsiveness. Employs a carbon fiber material that is utilized as construction parts in the aerospace industry – so called the 3rd generation carbon fiber.
■ R360 construction
The blank is built in a construction of carbon sheets laid in multi-directions. Meticulously tuned adjustments are made to the carbon array depending on each blank section, as a result, ensuring more strength that can withstand stress from all directions.
TIP
The metallic bite sensation unique to this well-balanced solid titanium tip—developed through repeated testing of length, stiffness, and thickness—is transmitted to the angler’s hands as tactile feedback, while the tip also clearly conveys even the slightest visual cues, such as “floating,” “sinking,” or “vibrating.” Furthermore, the flexible tip alerts the angler to even the slightest changes in water flow around the egi as it’s lifted and held in place, allowing the angler to gauge the distance to the bigfin squid.
GUIDE
Features a FUJI titanium frame and Torzite rings (SIC guides are used for the top guide and the LDB guides at the tip). MC’s original settings are tailored to the blank’s action.
LDB guides are used at the tip to minimize problems caused by line tangles.
REEL SEAT
Equipped with the FUJI NHSS from the “Gitoku” series—a hybrid of titanium and carbon-reinforced resin—it enhances the sense of unity with the entire rod through a snug fit and superior sensitivity, delivering reliable control. Additionally, the down-lock mechanism allows for direct contact with the blank, enabling the angler to detect even the slightest irregularities.
